Joe Battenburg

Joe Battenburg has been working in the tech industry since 2008. Joe began their career as a Flash Developer at Via Digerati, where they were responsible for animating and implementing Flash files, developing WordPress themes, and designing raster and vector graphic media. In 2016, they moved to Lasyte Solutions, Inc. as a Back End Developer, where they created back end admin interfaces, managed databases, and coded front end interfaces. In 2017, Joe was a Senior Developer at Pierry, creating WordPress sites, landing pages, and emails, as well as implementing the Salesforce REST API to generate leads from websites. That same year, they also worked as a Full Stack Developer at For The Record (FTR), where they upgraded existing systems to utilize a REST API for backend, prototyped HTML5 content, and designed interfaces which complied with the company style guide. In 2020, Joe became the Lead Developer at Vermilion Design + Digital. Prior to this, they had been the Full Stack Developer at AURA by Joe Battenburg since 2012, where they managed multiple clients with both web development and graphic design needs, brainstormed with clients about desired services, and designed high quality media for use in future multimedia projects.

Joe Battenburg attended Western Illinois University from 2006 to 2008, where they studied Management Information Systems, General. Joe then attended Columbia College Chicago in 2008, where they studied Advertising and Art Direction. After that, they returned to Western Illinois University from 2010 to 2011 to study Pre-Pharmacy Studies.
