George Aitken Eit

George Aitken, EIT, is an accomplished engineer with a diverse background in structural engineering, design, and application engineering. Currently serving as an Engineer at Vermont Gas Systems, Inc. since April 2019, George also contributes as a Structural Engineer and Search and Rescue Drone Pilot for the Vermont Urban Search and Rescue Task Force 1, where expertise in structural analysis is applied. Previous experience includes carpentry and design work with Stowebury Construction Services, and as an Application Engineer at Hayward Tyler, managing repair contracts and ensuring compliance of motor and pump components. George's academic foundation includes a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Vermont, complemented by a role as a Teaching Assistant in the Materials and Structures Lab.
