Jessica Olson

Jessica Olson serves as Vice President, Policy, at CALSTART, where she leads advocacy efforts for the organization to help shape federal and state policy supporting clean transportation sectors. She serves as an officer of CALSTART's executive team and oversees CALSTART's Policy Action Groups that include the National Zero-Emission Truck (ZET) Coalition, the Federal Zero-Emission Bus and Innovative Mobility Coalition, the Federal Clean Corridor Campaign Coalition, and the Electric Vehicle Battery Initiative.

Olson most recently served as Director of Environmental Policy for Honeywell International Inc. In that role, she led successful efforts to organize industry and advocates to implement a phase down of hydrofluorocarbons, the fastest growing source of greenhouse gas emissions, driving new regulatory programs and commitments at U.S. state, federal, and international levels. Prior to joining Honeywell, Olson was a partner at the Ayres Law Group in Washington, D.C., where her practice included appellate litigation, congressional advocacy, and regulatory advising in the climate and clean air policy space.

Olson holds a Bachelor of the Arts in Science, Technology and Society, with a focus in Environmental Studies from Vassar College and a Juris Doctorate from the Vermont Law School. Olson has previously co-chaired the Air Quality Committee of the DC Bar Environment, Energy, and Natural Resources Community and was a 2017 finalist for the MIT C3E Women in Clean Energy Award in the Law and Finance category. Olson is from Arlington, Virginia where she has served as an appointed member of the Fiscal Affairs Advisory Commission and lives with her husband and two children.
