Stephen F.W. Ball

Trustee at Vermont Law School

Mr. Ball is a member of Whitmyer IP Group (WHIPgroup), a full-service, global intellectual property (IP) law firm. He specializes in contested matters involving patents and trademarks. Mr. Ball has a proven track record of success in federal district and appeals courts throughout the U.S. as well as at the PTAB. He also represents clients in patent and trademark prosecution and portfolio management, trademark enforcement and anti-counterfeiting, IP due-diligence for mergers and acquisitions, licensing, and opinion work.

Mr. Ball has a degree in Computer Science and was inducted into Upsilon Pi Upsilon, the international honor society for the computing and information disciplines. At VLS he earned the Merit Scholar and Academic Excellence Award. He was part of the General Practice Program as well as the European Law Exchange Program (Trento, Italy). He clerked for the Vermont Judiciary as well as the Principal Legal Advisor for Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).
