Astrid Wendler

Astrid Wendler is a research scientist specializing in oncology and cell biology, currently employed at Vernalis since July 2021. Previously, Astrid held positions as a research scientist at Cell Guidance Systems and as a research associate at Cancer Research UK Cambridge Institute, contributing to projects related to comprehensive cancer centers and their implementation in Europe. Astrid earned a Doctor of Philosophy in Oncology and Cancer Biology from the University of Cambridge, where also served as a research associate and PhD candidate. Additional academic experience includes roles in epigenetics and centromere biology at the Zentrum für Molekulare Biologie der Universität Heidelberg, and various research positions at the German Cancer Research Center. Educational qualifications include a Master of Science in Molecular Biology and a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Heidelberg University.
