Kristiyan Veltchev

Kristiyan Veltchev has a diverse work experience in the pharmaceutical and medical field. Kristiyan currently holds the position of Senior Medical Science Liaison at Verona Pharma, starting in June 2023. Prior to this, they worked as a Medical Science Liaison at BioCryst Pharmaceuticals, Inc. from October 2021 to June 2023. Kristiyan also served as the Senior Manager, Medical Affairs Nutritionals & GI at Bayer from August 2020 to September 2021. Before that, they were a Post-Doctoral Fellow in Rx-to-OTC Switch Medical at Bayer from July 2018 to June 2020, as well as an Adjunct Faculty member at Rutgers University during the same time period. Furthermore, they gained experience as a Pharmacy Intern at New York-Presbyterian Hospital from November 2015 to May 2018. Additionally, they had short-term roles as a Corporate Medical Affairs Learning & Development Extern at Celgene in February 2018, a Managed Care Pharmacy Extern at Fidelis Care in January 2018, a Drug information Extern at NYU Langone Health in November-December 2017, and an Institutional Pharmacy Extern at Long Island Jewish Hospital in October-November 2017.

Kristiyan Veltchev began their education in 2011 at Long Island University, where they pursued a Doctor of Pharmacy degree. Kristiyan dedicated himself to this field of study and successfully completed the program in 2018.

In 2019, Kristiyan further expanded their educational background by enrolling in Rutgers Business School. Over the course of three years, they pursued a Master of Business Administration degree with a focus on Business Administration and Pharmaceutical Management. Kristiyan graduated from Rutgers Business School in 2022.

In addition to their academic achievements, Kristiyan obtained several certifications. In May 2019, they received a Teaching and Learning Certificate from Rutgers University, demonstrating their commitment to education and instructional strategies. Furthermore, in June 2021, they became a certified Pharmacist through the NYC Department of Education, showcasing their expertise in the pharmaceutical field.
