Hugo Garduño Ortega has worked in various roles since 2012. From 2012 to 2017, they were the Finances and Investment Manager at GB Global International, LLC, where they were responsible for managing a real estate portfolio in both the US and Mexico, as well as handling M&A, debt issue, and REITs creation. Hugo also held a Finances and Investment Junior Manager position at the same company. In 2012, they completed an internship at Tramite Sin Fronteras, LLC, where they worked as a Finances Intern and conducted financial analysis related to microcredits for Mexican immigrants living in the US. In 2017, they became the Chief Executive Officer and co-founder of Verqor, an agri-fintech company where farmers get credits in kind (supplies) and pay back with crops.

Hugo Garduño Ortega obtained their Bachelor of Business Administration (B.B.A.) in Finances from Universidad Panamericana between 2012 and 2016. Hugo then went on to pursue a Portfolio Management degree from EM Strasbourg Business School between 2015 and 2016. In 2017, they became a Candidate CFA Level II from the CFA Institute. In 2021, they began pursuing a field of study in Blockchain Technologies at the MIT Sloan School of Management. In May 2022, they obtained a certification in Blockchain Technologies: Business Innovation and Application from the MIT Sloan School of Management.
