Terry Butler

Terry Butler has worked in the IT field since 2000. From 2000-2010, they served as IT Director for The Sports Zone, where they provided day-to-day leadership and supervision of the IT department. Terry was responsible for design, development, deployment, and maintenance of Windows applications using Visual Basic through Microsoft Visual Studio. Additionally, they managed the local area network, administered Windows Small Business Server Active Directory with MS Exchange, and migrated FoxPro tables to Microsoft Access format. From 2010-present, they have been employed at VERSA Integrated Solutions, Inc. as IT Director and Senior UC Engineer. In this role, they are responsible for implementation and maintenance of Voice over IP (VoIP) in a Cisco Unified Communications environment. Terry has also developed detailed documentation including SOPs, physical/logical network drawings (Visio) and As-Built diagrams, installed routers/switches and upgraded device iOS when necessary, and implemented MGCP and H. 323 for registration of Cisco voice gateways at remote locations with centralized Communication Manager. Terry has provided support for 15,000+ users/devices at over 50 MAN/WAN FDA locations and deployed a UC pilot with 200 users/devices with implementation of Enterprise expansion to 40,000 users/devices at National Institutes of Health (NIH) through Center for Information technology (CIT).

Terry Butler attended the University of Maryland from 2000 to 2004, where they studied Computer Engineering.
