Jean-François Lavoie Ing.

Jean-François Lavoie has a diverse work experience spanning over several roles and industries. Jean-François started their career as a Chargé de projets at DET NORSKE VERITAS in 1991, followed by a position as a Chargé de projets at CENTRE CANADIEN D’INNOVATION INDUSTRIELLE from 1992 to 1994. Jean-François then worked as an Ingénieur de produits at Waterville TG from 1994 to 1996, and as a Gérant de projets, Industrie automobile at IPL Inc. from 1996 to 2001. During their time at IPL Inc., they obtained a patent for a multi-material window frame.

In 2001, Jean-François joined EXFO Ingénierie Électro-optique INC. as a Responsable de produits, and later moved to Raymond Chabot Grant Thornton where they served as a Directeur principal, R&D et innovation from 2003 to 2014. Jean-François then worked as a Manager, Business development at TechMed 3D in 2014, and as a Consultant at Jean-François Lavoie, Consultant from 2015 to 2017.

Currently, Jean-François holds the position of Directeur des opérations, tuyaux industriels at Versaprofiles since October 2018, where they are responsible for overseeing manufacturing activities of an industrial pipe factory. Jean-François also has experience in sales and marketing, and has previously held the role of Directeur, ventes et marketing at Versaprofiles starting from September 2022.

Throughout their career, Jean-François has demonstrated their skills in project management, business development, innovation, and technical evaluation. Jean-François has also been involved in the development and commercialization of various technological solutions.

Jean-François Lavoie pursued their education at Université Laval, where they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from 1987 to 1991. Jean-François continued their studies at the same institution and completed an MBA in Business Administration, specializing in Business Management, between 1996 and 2001.
