Director Of User Experience, Conversational Design And Applied Linguistics Team at Versay Solutions

Crispin Reedy has over 18 years of experience in the field of user experience and voice user interface (VUI) design. From 2001 to 2006, they worked as a VUI Designer and Sr. VUI Designer at Intervoice. During this time, they were part of the "Speech Team" and the Packaged Application Team, which was responsible for developing applications for a variety of customers. From 2006 to 2009, they worked as a Principal at eLoyalty, where they designed and created the technical setup for a portable usability lab, wrote standard templates for all documents associated with usability tests, and created protocol for usability tests. From 2009 to 2011, they worked as a Senior VUI Design Consultant at Versay Solutions, where they helped major insurance client attain JD Power Certified Contact Center award, gave best-practice recommendations to a large credit company, and helped a major wireless customer adopt Agile practices with their IVR. In 2018, they began working as a Continuing and Professional Education Instructor at Southern Methodist University.

Crispin Reedy has a Bachelor's degree in English from Trinity University. Crispin then obtained a UX Certificate from Bentley University in Human Computer Interaction in 2014. Afterward, they obtained a Certified Usability Analyst Program from Human Factors International in 2009. Currently, they are pursuing a Master's degree in Anthropology from the University of North Texas. Additionally, they obtained a Semiotics: A User's Guide to Seeing Differently certification from EPIC People in July 2020.
