Xiaochuan Zhou

Sr. Research Scientist at Verseau Therapeutics

Xiaochuan Zhou has over 19 years of experience in the field of research science. In 2001, they began their career as a Research Scientist of Immunology and Inflammation at Pfizer-Wyeth. During this time, they were responsible for hybridoma cell culture, small-scale antibody purification, and endotoxin assays. Xiaochuan also collected tissue and blood samples for biologic tests such as FACS, Elisa, western blots, histology, and immunohistochemistry. In 2010, they moved to Galenea to become a Scientist in HTS Development. Here, they were responsible for E18 rat neuronal tissue culture and cell-based assays for compound screening by automation systems. Xiaochuan also developed an alpha-screen HTS assay for compound screening by automation systems. In 2011, Xiaochuan moved to Sanofi as a Research Scientist of Cancer Biology. At this position, they were responsible for preparing and maintaining cell cultures and developing stable cell lines for assay development. Xiaochuan also developed 96/384 well cell-based proliferation, in-cell pIKK, pERK western, and FACS assays for screening compounds and antibody evaluation. In 2015, Xiaochuan joined Voyager Therapeutics, Inc. as a Sr. Associate Scientist. Here, they were responsible for developing FACS AAV neutralizing antibody assays for evaluating AAV capsids for animal screening. Xiaochuan also evaluated human and animal immune responses to AAV capsids and populations. In 2018, Xiaochuan joined Verseau Therapeutics as a Sr. Research Scientist. Here, they worked on VTX-0811, VTX-1849, and VTX-1619 projects for cancer and inflammation studies. Xiaochuan also developed FACS and cell-based assays for antibody evaluation in human cancer treatment and evaluation of antibodies in human cancer tissue, cell culture, and immune response by 25-Plex Luminex assay and FACS.

Xiaochuan Zhou attended Tonji Medical School, where they studied Medical Clinical Science.
