Aliza Pearl has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Aliza is currently working as a Creative Director at Versed, a position they started in 2023. Prior to that, they worked as a Freelance Game Writer for various companies starting in 2022. In 2020, Aliza became a Podcast Co-Host for Women at Warp LLC, where they explored Star Trek from a feminist perspective. Starting in 2018, they became a Game Master and TTRPG Content Creator, gaining expertise in various tabletop systems. Aliza has also worked as a Writer and Professional Actor for herself since 2004, creating sci-fi content and acting in independent features, television, commercials, stage plays, and short films. Aliza has served as a Host for Geek & Sundry from 2017 to 2019 and as a Writer for Nerdist Industries from 2017 to 2019. Additionally, Aliza worked as a Grant Writer for the AIDS Healthcare Foundation from 2015 to 2017 and as a Self-Employed Development Consultant, specializing in grant writing and development consulting, from 2008 to 2017. Aliza also worked as an Outreach Associate and Certified Enrollment Counselor for The Actors Fund from 2013 to 2015.

Aliza Pearl holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Comparative Literature from Princeton University, with a focus on Theater, East Asian Studies, and Latin American Studies. Aliza also completed a Genre Studio program at the Impro Theatre School, specializing in Narrative Improv in topics such as Tennessee Williams and Romantic Comedy. Furthermore, Aliza received training in Improv Comedy at UCB - Upright Citizens Brigade. In addition to their formal education, they obtained a verified certificate for Video Game Writing Essentials from edX in September 2021.
