Job description

Versed is hiring for a Sr. Brand Designer, to bring elevated creative executions across all our brand touchpoints. 

We are looking for a collaborative creative with a strong eye and refined typography skills, who is able to visualize the Versed brand ID in a clear and cohesive manner. Reporting into the VP, Creative, they have an extreme attention to detail, and excellent conceptual and executional skills. They should have their finger on the pulse of the skincare & beauty industry. This candidate has the ability to direct brand assets cohesively across multiple channels and touchpoints.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with VP, Creative in concepting and executing all visual elements for the brand, including photography style, typography language, and packaging components

  • Create new and innovative design concepts for all channels, upholding the Versed brand identity and pushing it forward

  • Create engaging and elevated assets across all touchpoints, including retail, dotcom, printed collateral and social

  • Lead in ideating art directing for photoshoots, across all pre-production efforts: creating moodboards, sourcing talent, and creating briefs

  • Lead in post-production, ensuring proper retouching and editing in order to deliver excellent original brand content

  • Collaborate with the rest of the Creative team on new, innovative creative efforts

  • Manage and mentor Graphic Designers on the team, providing guidance on their work and constructive feedback

  • Collaborate with VP, Creative to refresh evergreen brand guidelines as needed to maintain brand consistency

  • Present well-developed and strategic creative solutions to meet brand objectives, that are competitive in the beauty industry and help differentiate the brand

  • Create visual guidelines for campaigns and other brand executions, including digital experiences, social posts, OOH, and other marketing extensions

  • Maintain consistency across creative executions

  • Stay abreast of industry trends

  • Self-manage multiple projects at once and ensure they are completed in a timely manner

Skills and Qualifications:

  • BA or BFA in Design (preferred) or related experience

  • A strong portfolio of work in graphic design and visual direction

  • High proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite

  • Experience designing digital content creation and retail assets

  • Conceptual thinking and strong technical implementation

  • Excellent attention to detail

  • Team player, with the ability to collaborate and take feedback

  • Ability to work in startup environment

  • Takes direction well, while also having the ability to work autonomously

  • Strong interest and knowledge in beauty and skincare industry
