Alex Crone

Alex Crone, MS, MBA, PMP, CMQ/OE, currently serves as Senior Manager for the External Manufacturing - CASGEVY™ Program Lead at Vertex Pharmaceuticals, leading the commercial launch of an autologous CRISPR/Cas9 treatment for severe sickle cell disease and transfusion-dependent beta-thalassemia. In addition to this role, Alex teaches as an Adjunct Professor of Biotechnology at Northeastern University, focusing on biopharmaceutical design, development, and regulatory submissions. Previous experience includes significant positions at FUJIFILM Diosynth Biotechnologies and KBI Biopharma, where leadership in commercial validation and technology transfers was demonstrated. Alex's educational background includes a Master's in Chemical Engineering from Northeastern University and an MBA from the Quantic School of Business and Technology.
