Catherine Rutten

Catherine Rutten serves as Vice President International, Government Affairs & Public Policy at Vertex Pharmaceuticals since July 2020 and holds a position as Non Executive Director at Proximus since April 2019. Additionally, Catherine is a member of the board at Women on Board Belgium since July 2018. Previously, Catherine was the CEO of pharma.be - Belgian Federation of the Pharmaceutical Industry from September 2013 to July 2020, a member of the Council at BIPT - IBPT from April 2003 to August 2013, and Director of Regulatory Affairs at BT from October 1997 to April 2003. Catherine began the legal career as a lawyer at Loeff Claeys Verbeke Law Practice from September 1994 to September 1997. Educational qualifications include an LL.M. from The London School of Economics and Political Science, studies at the College of Europe, and executive education from Harvard Business School, IMD, and KU Leuven, complemented by earlier education at the Université de Namur and Harvard Kennedy School.
