Melodie Knowlton

Melodie Knowlton currently serves as the Senior Director of Community Affairs at Vertex Pharmaceuticals, where responsibilities include leading global STEAM education programs and holding positions on the Vertex Foundation Board of Directors and as Executive Director of the Vertex Foundation. Previous roles include Director and Global Head of STEAM Education and Head of the Vertex Learning Lab, along with teaching positions at The Cambridge School of Weston and Harvard University Extension School. Early career experience includes a Presidential Postdoctoral Fellowship at Novartis and a research tenure at the National Cancer Institute. Melodie Knowlton holds a PhD in Cell and Developmental Biology from Harvard Medical School, a B.S. in Biology from The Ohio State University, and completed the Program for Leadership Development at Harvard Business School.
