Ming Z. Chen

Ming Z. Chen is a highly experienced scientist with a robust background in organic chemistry. Currently serving as a Principal Scientist at Vertex Pharmaceuticals since December 2019, Ming Z. Chen has held various significant roles in the pharmaceutical industry, including Principal Scientist and Senior Scientist at Pfizer from February 2014 to November 2019. Prior to work in industry, Ming Z. Chen completed a NIH Postdoctoral Fellowship at the University of Pennsylvania under the supervision of Prof. Amos B from June 2012 to January 2014. Academic qualifications include a PhD in Organic Chemistry from The Scripps Research Institute (2009-2012), an MS in Organic Chemistry from Yale University (2007-2008), and a BA in Chemistry from Middlebury College (2003-2007). Further research experience includes a graduate student role at Yale University and a summer internship at Biogen Idec.
