Rachel Lecker

Rachel Lecker is a Senior Research Scientist at Vertex Pharmaceuticals since March 2019, previously serving as a Research Scientist. Prior to Vertex, Rachel worked at AMRI as a Research Scientist I, where skills in multi-step synthesis of small molecules and problem-solving for synthetic challenges were developed. Academic experience includes roles as Associate Instructor and Research Assistant at Indiana University Bloomington, focusing on iron-catalyzed cross-coupling methods and novel ligand creation. Rachel began their academic career as a Teaching Assistant at the University of Nevada Reno. Rachel holds a Master of Science in Organic Chemistry from Indiana University Bloomington and a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from the University of Nevada, Reno.
