Aviad Ariel

Aviad Ariel joined Vertex in early 2016, with a diverse background in Venture Capital and Management Consulting. Aviad's current portfolio includes Axonius, Datos Health, Dot Compliance, OwnBackup, Nexite, Tabit and YotPo, and he previously also worked with LightCyber (acquired by PaloAlto Networks), Indegy (acquired by Tenable), Dynamic Yield (acquired by McDonalds), Fleetonomy (acquired by Via) and Spot.io (acquired by NetApp).

Prior to joining Vertex, Aviad spent 4 years at Bessemer Israel, where he invested in and worked closely with the founders of several of Israel’s best startup companies including Traffix (acquired by F5), Ravello Systems (acquired By Oracle), Vayyar Imaging, ScyllaDB, MyHeritage, StratoScale, Soluto (acquired by Asurion), Altair (acquired by Sony), Fiverr (NASDAQ: FVRR) Intucell (acquired by Cisco) and Wix (NASDAQ:WIX). Aviad was also a founding partner of Oryzn Capital where he invested in NanoRep (acquired by LogMeIn), OwnBackup and Dronomy.

Prior to Bessemer, Aviad worked at McKinsey & Company and Barclays Capital’s corporate strategy team in NY, and he started his career as a software engineer and a team leader at Marvell Technology.

Aviad holds a dual BSc in Computer Science and Physics from Tel Aviv University and a MBA from The University of Chicago.
