Shyam Rao

Shyam Rao is an accomplished engineering leader with extensive experience in application development and software engineering management, currently serving as Senior Manager of Application Development at Vertex Inc. since December 2024. Prior to this role, Shyam held the position of Senior Software Engineering Manager at UKG from October 2021 to December 2024, overseeing a team of over 30 engineers. Shyam's career began at Netcracker Technology, where leadership roles spanned from Senior Manager to Technical Manager, managing large-scale systems for major global wireless carriers and establishing strategic relationships generating significant revenue. Shyam holds a Master’s degree in Management Information Systems from Florida International University and a Bachelor of Engineering from Bharathiar University, complemented by skills in systems analysis, DevOps, and various programming languages.
