Ruben Laranjeiro

Ruben Laranjeiro is an accomplished Flight Control System Architect at Vertical Aerospace since June 2021, leading the technical aspects of the Flight Control System (FCS) including architecture definition, requirements approval, and safety analysis documentation. Previously, Ruben served as the Control Systems Team Lead at Reaction Engines, overseeing the engine control system development for the DEMO-A program and managing team objectives. Earlier experience includes roles at AgustaWestland as a Flight Test Specialist for AW159 and AW101 and as a Senior System Integrator Engineer for Fly-By-Wire systems, as well as positions at Thales Avionics focused on autopilot development and flight test activities. Ruben holds multiple degrees, including a Master recherche in Systemes Automatiques from ISAE-SUPAERO and a Master of Science in Aerospace Engineering from Instituto Superior Técnico.
