Ross McKean

Ross McKean is the Head of Electrical Engineering at Vertical Future, where responsibilities include planning work packages, managing project budgets, and leading a team in the design, construction, and delivery of vertical farming systems. This role encompasses a variety of tasks such as business development, high-level farm design, power distribution, control systems, and innovative projects like space farming modules for the International Space Station. Prior to this position, Ross served as an Electro-mechanical Engineer at Vertical Future, focusing on large-scale vertical farming technologies. Ross's earlier experience at the Culham Centre for Fusion Energy involved roles as a Control and Instrumentation Engineer and Technician, contributing to advanced monitoring and protection systems. An Advanced Electrical Engineering Apprentice and holder of a Master of Engineering in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from the University of the West of England, Ross combines extensive practical engineering experience with a strong educational background.
