Brent Gist

Brent Gist is an experienced Institutional Sales Trader currently with Vertical Group since March 2022, and previously held the same title at Elevation LLC from January 2011 to March 2022, specializing in event-driven sales and trading, including merger arbitrage, special situations, and SPACs. Prior experience includes working as a Proprietary Trader at Hansar Capital Management, LLC from April 2009 to August 2010, and a summer intern role in Institutional Equity at GFI Group in June 2008, where Brent gained insights into sales and execution for institutional clients. Earlier internships in wealth management at UBS and Legg Mason contributed to Brent's foundational knowledge in asset allocation and portfolio construction. Education includes studies at Towson University and the University of Maryland.
