Shahnawaz Pukkeyil

Shahnawaz Pukkeyil has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and companies. Shahnawaz is currently working at Vertical Oceans as a Solutions Architect - Smart Devices since March 2021. Prior to that, they worked at ENGIE as an IoT Connectivity System Engineer - Smart Digital Solutions from January 2018 to March 2021.

Before working at ENGIE, Shahnawaz worked at DHI as a Product Developer - Sensors & Connectivity from September 2015 to January 2018. Their role involved designing and developing IoT solutions for remote environmental monitoring systems, focusing on using the latest communication technology to gather meaningful data from various remote locations.

Shahnawaz also worked at Water Optics Technology as a Senior Engineer - System Integration from July 2013 to July 2015, where they played a key role in taking the company's microbial sensing technology to a product stage. Additionally, they worked as a Project Officer - Research & Development at Nanyang Technological University from August 2011 to July 2013, conducting research on online microbial detection systems and collaborating with Lund University to enhance sensor technology features.

Shahnawaz's work experience also includes a role as a Development Technologist at Nanyang Polytechnic from May 2007 to May 2008.

Shahnawaz Pukkeyil began their education at Nanyang Technological University Singapore, where they completed a Diploma in Mechatronics Engineering from 2004 to 2007. Shahnawaz then pursued their Bachelor's degree in Electrical and Electronics from the same university, completing it between 2008 and 2011. Continuing their academic journey, Shahnawaz enrolled at the National University of Singapore and obtained a Master of Science (MSc) in Management of Technology from 2012 to 2014.

In addition to their formal education, Shahnawaz has also acquired various certifications to strengthen their skills and knowledge. In 2015, they completed the "Budgeting and Scheduling Projects" certification from Coursera Verified Certificates. Additionally, they completed the "Initiating and Planning Projects" certification, also from Coursera Verified Certificates, in 2015. In 2019, Shahnawaz obtained the "Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH) Trained" certification from EC-Council. Shahnawaz also obtained "The Zero-Carbon Transition Strategy" certification from ENGIE in 2019. Most recently, in 2020, Shahnawaz obtained the "AWS Security Fundamentals" certification from Amazon Web Services (AWS).
