Anne Marie Mazzola

Anne Marie Mazzola is a Study Manager at Preclinical Pharmacology and Toxicology at Verve Therapeutics. She brings many years of preclinical pharmacology experience in large pharma and biotech with both biologics and small molecules. She spent a significant portion of her career at AstraZeneca Pharmaceuticals developing clinically relevant models of human cancers, including patient-derived xenograft models, to better inform clinical dosing strategies for drug candidates. Immediately prior to joining Verve, Ms. Mazzola was a scientist at Elstar Therapeutics, where she was integral in growing the pharmacology team and building key capabilities to evaluate immuno-oncology drug candidates. Ms. Mazzola has also held positions at Millennium Pharmaceuticals and Novartis Institute for Biomedical Research. She holds a B.Sc. in animal science from The University of Massachusetts Amherst.
