Felix Acheampong

Felix Acheampong is a Senior Scientist, Mass Spectrometry at Verve Therapeutics. He brings over five years of pharma/biotech experience; having worked on multiple drug modalities. Prior to Verve, he contributed to discovery and development programs at Novartis (isolating and characterizing natural products using high-resolution mass spectrometry), Agios (developing untargeted lipidomics methodologies), and PPD (developing and validating methods for small molecule bioanalysis using LCMS). He believes that, whether serendipitous or non-serendipitous, all his novel discoveries were achieved by laboratory dedication. Dr. Acheampong received his bachelor’s and master’s degrees from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) in Kumasi, Ghana, and his Ph.D. from the South Dakota State University in Brookings, South Dakota. He has published several articles related to the use of mass spectrometry for identifying and characterizing small molecule natural products.
