Shu-Yu Hsu

Shu-Yu Hsu is a scientist specializing in biophysical and analytical CMC at Verve Therapeutics, with experience in characterizing mRNA, gRNA, and LNP through various analytical methods, and developing novel assays for mRNA cap efficiency. Previously, during the tenure as a Graduate Research Assistant at the University of Missouri-Columbia, significant contributions included pioneering the use of caffeine metabolites in wastewater for COVID-19 surveillance and enhancing health risk assessments for fracking chemicals. Additional roles include environmental engineering at Eco Technology & Consultants, research roles at National Sun Yat-Sen University, and a position as a lecturer at the National Museum of Marine Biology & Aquarium. Shu-Yu Hsu holds a PhD in Natural Resources from the University of Missouri-Columbia and both a Master of Engineering and Bachelor's degree from National Sun Yat-Sen University, focusing on marine environment and biotechnology.
