William Oemler

William Oemler has worked in the software engineering and bioinformatics fields since 2004. William began their career as a Research Technician at Tufts Medical Center in 2004, and then served as a Lab Assistant (Graduate Student) at Northeastern University in 2009. From 2009 to 2014, they worked as a Software Engineer at Millennium Pharmaceuticals, followed by Senior Software Engineer and Senior Manager roles in Bioinformatics at Blueprint Medicines from 2014 to 2019. In 2019, they joined Decibel Therapeutics where they held the roles of Senior Manager and Associate Director of Software Engineering. William is currently employed at Vesalius Therapeutics as the Director of Software Engineering.

William Oemler earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Cellular and Molecular Biology from Tulane University in 2003, after attending from 1999-2003. William then went on to receive a Master of Science (MS) in Bioinformatics from Northeastern University in 2010, after attending from 2008-2010.
