Anisha Thakrar

Anisha Thakrar has a diverse range of work experience in the field of data science and technology. Anisha started their career as a Content Writer for the monthly college magazine i360 at Indus University from July 2017 to June 2018. Anisha then worked as an Information Technology Intern at DigiTechYard in June 2019, where they learned about the MVC architecture and built webpages using HTML, CSS, Bootstrap, JS, and connected them to the backend using MySQL, phpMyAdmin, and Flask.

In December 2019, Anisha worked as a Machine Learning Intern at Radix Analytics Pvt Ltd, where they performed time series analysis for advertisement demand forecasting for ZEE TV channel using statistical techniques and implemented demand forecasting for Kenyan Airlines using R. Anisha also made a webpage utilizing R Shiny during their internship, which showcased their skills in data analysis and programming.

Anisha then joined Northeastern University as a Teaching Assistant in May 2021, mentoring undergraduate students in an Introduction to Data Science course. Anisha continued in this role until December 2021. Anisha returned to Northeastern University in September 2022 for another teaching assistant position, where they mentored a class of 155 students in the same course.

From January 2022 to August 2022, Anisha worked as a Data Science Co-op at Rue Gilt Groupe. During their time there, they built a Customer Lifetime Value model using machine learning models such as BetaGeoFitter and GammaGamma, which helped the marketing team target potential/lapsed customers effectively. Anisha also conducted numerous A/B tests, created custom metrics, and designed dashboards in Tableau to monitor customer behavior and test performance.

Most recently, Anisha joined Vesta as a Data Scientist in February 2023, where they are currently working.

Anisha Thakrar obtained a Bachelor of Technology degree in Information Technology from Indus University Ahmedabad, where they studied from 2016 to 2020. Anisha then pursued a Master of Science degree in Data Modeling/Warehousing and Database Administration from Northeastern University, which they attended from 2021 to 2022. In addition to their formal education, they have obtained several certifications, including R Programming and The Data Scientist's Toolbox from Coursera in 2020, as well as Python Training and C++ Training from the Spoken Tutorial Project, IIT Bombay in 2019 and 2018, respectively.
