Dave Thornton

Dave Thornton co-founded and is the Chief Customer Officer at Vested. Prior to Vested, Dave was the Senior Vice President of Innovation at Definitive Healthcare from November 2019 to December 2020. Dave was also the Founder and CEO of PatientFinder, which was acquired by Definitive Healthcare in May 2017. Dave has also worked as the Chief Analytics Officer at Carevoyance from March 2016 to May 2017. Dave also founded Skill in Games in January 2012 and ran it until February 2016. Skill in Games is a consulting business that licenses proprietary data products to financial services data vendors, NBA teams, and online poker operators. Dave has a history of conceptualizing, designing, and managing the creation of machine learning-based systems. Dave also has a history of working with big data sets and developing analytical models for various purposes such as municipal bond pricing and valuing NBA players. Dave has a bachelor's degree in political science from Brown University and a master's degree in public policy from Harvard University's Kennedy School of Government.

Dave Thornton studied computer science and economics at the University of Pennsylvania before earning their J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center. Dave was on the Deans List all three years of law school.
