Anders J. Debes

Anders J. Debes currently serves as a Member of the Board of Trustees at Sunnaas sykehus HF since February 2024 and as Medical Director at Vestre Viken HF since May 2023. Previously, Anders held the position of Medical Director (Somatics and Rehabilitation) at Helse Sør-Øst RHF from June 2021 to May 2023 and Chief Medical Officer at Vestre Viken HF from October 2015 to June 2021, additionally acting as Hospital Director at Bærum sykehus and working as a Clinical Researcher focusing on urologic cancers. With a background as a Consultant Urologist, Anders is involved in research addressing patient safety, prostate cancer detection, patient experiences, and urinary infection prevention. Anders has also contributed as a Medical Advisor at Photocure and served as a Consultant Speaker for Astellas Pharma. As a faculty lecturer and instructor at NSALK from 2007 to 2016 and a co-editor for the Norwegian Surgical Association's publication "Kirurgen," Anders has established a strong educational presence. Anders's academic credentials include a PhD in Surgical Education from the University of Oslo and an MD from UiT- The Arctic University of Norway.
