Therese McNamee

Veterinarian at Vetco Clinics

Therese McNamee is a Wildlife Health Research Scientist at the NYS Department of Environmental Conservation since October 2022, concurrently serving as a veterinarian with VIP Petcare and Vetco Clinics since February 2023. Previously, McNamee held several roles with the USDA Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS) from September 2016 to October 2022, including Veterinary Medical Officer and Saul T. Wilson Veterinary Student Scholar. Additional experience includes positions as a veterinary student volunteer at the Wildlife Rehabilitation Center of Minnesota, a research assistant in Ecosystem Health at the University of Minnesota College of Veterinary Medicine, and various roles in veterinary assistance and research from 2014 to 2018. McNamee holds a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine and a Master of Public Health from the University of Minnesota, a Master of Science in Conservation Medicine from Tufts University, and a Bachelor's degree in Biology and Philosophy with an Environmental Science minor from Boston University.
