Shana Powers possesses extensive experience in case management and human resources across various sectors. Currently serving as a Case Manager at Veterans Community Project since August 2020, Shana previously held roles as a Career Consultant and Inside Sales Executive at New Horizons Computer Learning Centers from January 2018 to August 2020. Prior to that, Shana was Operations Manager, HR, and Marketing at Deacon Recruiting from May 2016 to April 2018, and worked as a Campaign Specialist at The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society from October 2014 to May 2016. Shana began a career in legal support as a Paralegal and HR/Employee Benefits professional at a Los Angeles law firm from March 2003 to August 2014. Shana holds a Bachelor of Science in Human Resource Management from the University of Phoenix, completed between 2010 and 2013.

Veterans Community Project (VCP) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to ending Veteran homelessness by providing transitional-housing, wrap-around support services, and emergency assistance. Headquartered in Kansas City, MO, VCP uses Kansas City as the blueprint for achieving similar success in its expansion to cities across the United States, with the long-term goal of eliminating Veteran homelessness nationwide. VCP is a team of connectors, feelers, and doers on a mission to help our kin, our kind. We move with swift, bold action, always motivated to serve with compassion. We took an oath to serve all who served us by dedicating our time and careers to eradicating Veteran homelessness in Kansas City.
