Brett Levitzke

Brett Levitzke has a diverse range of work experience in the veterinary field. Brett started their career at Garden State Veterinary Specialists as an Intern from June 2000 to June 2001. Brett then progressed to Brooklyn Veterinary Emergency Services, where they served as the Medical Director from August 2001 to December 2005. Following this, Brett joined Veterinary Emergency and Referral Group as the Chief Medical Officer in May 2005. Currently, they hold the position of Board President at Positive Tails, a non-profit organization dedicated to providing assistance to animals and people in need since 2012.

Brett Levitzke obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Microbiology from Cornell University between 1990 and 1994. Brett then pursued a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from the University of Georgia College of Veterinary Medicine from 1996 to 2000.

Veterinary Emergency & Referral Group

The primary veterinarian is requested to alert VERG that an emergency case is being sent to our hospital from their office if possible. Should your hospital or clinic be closed during certain hours or on certain holidays, VERG will accept your pets if your primary veterinarian is unavailable. Patients referred for emergency treatment or care willbe referred back to their primary veterinarian for continued care, upon the completion of treatment at VERG.
