Meagan Murray is an experienced veterinary technician with a focus on emergency and critical care, currently working at the Veterinary Emergency & Referral Group since August 2018. Previous roles include externships at the Animal Cardiology Center and The Schwarzman Animal Medical Center, where Meagan gained hands-on experience in internal medicine and cardiology. A graduate teaching assistant at Long Island University, Meagan assisted in teaching surgery courses while pursuing a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree. Earlier experience includes a veterinary technician role at Greenwood Veterinary Care, research assistance at Brooklyn College, and animal care at the New York Aquarium and Staten Island Zoo, demonstrating a solid foundation in animal care across various environments. Meagan holds a Biology degree from Brooklyn College and has an extensive background in animal care, technical procedures, and veterinary support.
Veterinary Emergency & Referral Group
The primary veterinarian is requested to alert VERG that an emergency case is being sent to our hospital from their office if possible. Should your hospital or clinic be closed during certain hours or on certain holidays, VERG will accept your pets if your primary veterinarian is unavailable. Patients referred for emergency treatment or care willbe referred back to their primary veterinarian for continued care, upon the completion of treatment at VERG.
