John Thurmond

John Thurmond is an Outreach Specialist at VetJobs since July 2022 and concurrently serves as a Bartender at American Legion Post 0042 Evanston. Previously, John held the role of Employment Specialist for the Homeless Veterans Reintegration Program at Inner Voice, Inc. from July 2020 to June 2022, and worked as a Bartender at American Legion Post 973 from September 2016 to September 2020. Additional experience includes positions as an Axe Throwing Coach at Jack's Ltd, Bartender at Monsignor Murphy's, Dog Walker & Sitter at Urban Tailz, and Coach for both Chicago City Soccer Club and FugiLu Soccer Tutoring & Training, where John provided youth soccer programming. John also worked as a Staff Coach for the Chicago Fire Juniors. John Thurmond holds a Bachelor of Arts in English from the University of Notre Dame and a Juris Doctor from Notre Dame Law School.
