Ashlen's interest in sustainable food began when she went vegan at 17 and spent that summer volunteering on permaculture farms in Hawaii. She became professionally involved in the future of food when she started covering alternative protein news for The Spoon and scouting for a vegan venture capital firm.
After joining Vevolution in 2022, she now helps onboard start-ups to the investment platform and raise capital. She is the founder of the food technology publication FutureFoodie.tech and the author of Vegan in a Van.
