Joanna Whiteman

Joanna Whiteman is an accomplished legal professional and diversity advocate currently serving as the Head of Diversity and Inclusion at the Royal Academy of Engineering since February 2020. With a diverse background in both consultancy and leadership roles, Joanna has also offered expertise as a Senior Consultant while self-employed since November 2019. Previous positions include Co Director, Head of Litigation, and Legal Officer at The Equal Rights Trust from June 2012 to July 2019, as well as an Associate in the Employment Department at Reed Smith LLP from February 2008 to August 2011. Joanna holds a Master of Laws (LLM) in Human Rights and Equality Law from the University of Cambridge, a Legal Practice Course (LPC) from Nottingham Law School, and a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from the University of Nottingham.
