Afgan Sharifov

Afgan Sharifov is a seasoned Information Security Specialist with extensive experience in integrating information systems with Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) across various platforms, including Windows OS, Linux distributions, and cloud services. Currently serving as Lead Information Security Specialist at Veyseloglu Group of Companies since October 2022, Afgan is responsible for building rules and generating reports on SIEM systems. Prior to this role, Afgan worked at the State Oil Fund of the Republic of Azerbaijan, focusing on SIEM integration and dashboard creation. Earlier experience includes troubleshooting IT issues and managing IT assets at Nəqşicahan Holdinq. Afgan holds a Master's degree in IT Management from Baku Engineering University, completed in 2018.
