Riley Russell

Riley Russell is the current Treasurer at VGBA. Prior to this, they served as the Chief Legal Officer at Sony Interactive Entertainment from February 1994 to October 2021. In this role, they had global legal responsibility for Sony's interactive division that produces the Sony PlayStation. They also served as Sr. Vice President of Legal and Business Affairs & General Counsel at Sony Interactive Entertainment (previously Sony Computer Entertainment) from February 1994 to April 2016. In this role, they were responsible for all legal matters, including compliance, privacy, litigation, transactions, and intellectual property. They also served as Director of Business Affairs at Sega of America from January 1990 to December 1993 and Director of Business Affairs (Corporate Counsel) at Sega from January 1990 to December 1993.

After high school, Riley Russell attended the University of California, Berkeley, where they earned a BA in political science. Riley then attended the University of California, Davis, where they earned an MA in economics. Finally, they attended the University of Santa Clara, where they earned a JD in law.
