David Yi

Chief Medical Information Officer at VHC Health

David Yi has a diverse work experience in the healthcare industry. David started their career at Georgetown University Medical Center, where they completed their medical internship and residency. After that, they founded Luminesse, a company they ran until 2011. In 2007, they joined Virginia Hospital Center as the Medical Director of the VHC Hospitalist Program, and later became the Chief Medical Information Officer. In 2010, they founded DHY Solutions, LLC. In 2014, they became a member of the Board of Directors at Connect Virginia HIE, Inc. Most recently, they joined Mary Washington Healthcare as the VP and Chief Medical Information Officer.

David Yi pursued their undergraduate studies at William & Mary from 1994 to 1998, where they obtained a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree with a focus on Accounting and Chemistry. Following this, they attended the Medical College of Virginia from 1998 to 2002, earning a Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) degree. In addition to their education, David Yi has obtained two board certifications: one in Clinical Informatics from the American Board of Preventive Medicine and another in Internal Medicine from the American Board of Internal Medicine.
