Christy Pesuti

Christy Pesuti, SHRM-SCP, has extensive work experience spanning multiple roles and companies. Christy is currently employed at Virginia Housing, where they hold the position of Lead Human Resources Generalist since April 2023. Prior to this role, Christy served as a Senior Human Resources Generalist and a Human Resources Generalist at the same company.

Before joining Virginia Housing, Christy worked as an Employee Benefits Specialist at Aflac from July 2017 to January 2021. Christy also has a background in HR, having served as an HR Business Partner at Maitland from October 2012 to March 2017.

Earlier in their career, Christy worked at Admiral Administration Ltd as both an Office Manager and a Corporate Administrator from June 2007 to September 2012. Christy'sprofessional journey began at James River Financial Corp., where they served as a Fund Administrator/Jr. Accountant from January 1998 to May 2007.

Christy Pesuti, SHRM-SCP, obtained their Bachelor's degree in Accounting and Human Resources from Strayer University, where they studied from 2011 to 2014. Prior to that, they completed their Associates degree in Accounting at Strayer University from 2003 to 2006. In addition to their formal education, they have acquired several certifications, including Introduction to Design Thinking from Virginia Commonwealth University in October 2023, CPR/AED/First Aid from American Red Cross Training Services in November 2022, and the SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) credential from SHRM in May 2021.
