Shelley Heugen

Shelley Heugen has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Shelley is currently working as a Strategy & Operations Principal at Via since June 2022. Prior to that, they worked as a Mobility Manager at Delhaize Belgium from September 2019 to June 2022.

Before joining Delhaize Belgium, Shelley served as a Project Manager | Sustainable Mobility at Bond Beter Leefmilieu, where they coordinated different projects on sustainable mobility and contributed to mobility strategy and policy recommendations. Shelley also governed the internal committee 'tools and processes'.

Earlier in their career, Shelley worked as a Senior Communications and Marketing Officer at Nexus - Opening doors for development from September 2016 to October 2018. Shelley also held the position of Project Manager | Social Economy at Fiets&Werk from January 2016 to September 2016.

Shelley's extensive experience includes working at the Belgian Development Agency as a Project Officer. Shelley was responsible for the user-friendly libraries program and the communications and cross-cutting issues programs of the Teacher Training Project in Uganda. Shelley successfully coordinated the implementation of user-friendly libraries in teacher training institutions, conducted training programs, and provided technical support. Shelley also developed and implemented cross-cutting issues mainstreaming programs and managed communication strategies.

Shelley Heugen completed a Bachelor's Degree in Philosophy at KU Leuven from 2005 to 2009. Shelley then continued their education at the University of Antwerp, earning a Master's Degree in Philosophy from 2010 to 2012. Additionally, from 2007 to 2009, they attended SLAC Academy of Arts and studied Photography and Digital Editing.
