Dylan Brooks

Dylan Brooks, CPA has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries. Dylan is currently serving as the Corporate Controller at ViaLase, Inc. since March 2022. Prior to this, Dylan worked as an Assistant Controller at SA Recycling from September 2019 to March 2022.

Before joining SA Recycling, Dylan worked at EY, where they started as an Assurance Intern in June 2016 and later became an Assurance Senior from August 2017 to September 2019. During their time at EY, Dylan gained experience in auditing major transactions including mergers in technology and real estate, as well as various IPOs in the life sciences sector. Dylan also worked with SEC and large public companies, and was involved in audits and quarterly reviews for real estate, life sciences, and media/entertainment industries. Dylan demonstrated exceptional project management skills by leading teams to complete timely audits and reducing engagement time and costs.

Prior to EY, Dylan worked as a Summer Analyst at NFP Retirement in 2015, where they managed investment reports and performed analysis for multiple institutional investment plans. Dylan also worked as a Corporate Finance Intern at SA Recycling in 2013, specializing in internal audit and compliance with recycling laws.

Dylan's early career includes roles as a Genius Bar Technician at Apple, where they provided personalized technology solutions to customers, and as an Expeditor/Food Runner at Montage Hotels & Resorts, where they created exceptional guest experiences in a 5-star restaurant.

Throughout their career, Dylan has demonstrated strong leadership, technical accounting proficiency, and the ability to create positive, high-performing teams.

Dylan Brooks, CPA, obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Political Economy from the University of California, Berkeley. Dylan attended the university from 2012 to 2016. In December 2018, Dylan obtained their Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification from the California Board of Accountancy.
