Bill Hyland has a diverse work experience starting from 2015. Bill began their career as a Mechanical Engineering Intern at First Energy Nuclear Operating Company. In 2016, they worked as an Operations and Logistics Co-op at Anheuser-Busch InBev. The following year, they became a Utilities Engineering Intern and later a Weekend Warehouse Supervisor at the same company. From 2018 to 2020, Bill worked as a Process Engineer at GEON Performance Solutions, where they focused on process improvement and optimization. In 2020, they joined Glatt Group as an Automation Engineer, specializing in Allen Bradley PLC control system applications. From 2020 to 2022, Bill worked at Seegrid as an Application Systems Engineer, where they led initiatives to improve autonomous material transfer and worked with clients to develop hands-free material transfer solutions. Additionally, Bill worked at Invata Intralogistics as a Product Manager AGVs/AMRs in 2022, where they managed relationships with suppliers and developed best practices for AMR installation efforts. Most recently, in 2022, they joined Bosch Rexroth as a Sr. Application Engineer, responsible for training North American regional account executives and developing new product offerings in the field of Mobile Robotic and Collaborative Robotics solutions. In 2023, Bill will be working at Viam as a Solutions Engineer.
Bill Hyland has a diverse education history. Bill completed their Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering at The Ohio State University from 2014 to 2017. Following that, they pursued further education and obtained a Master's degree in Computer Science from the Georgia Institute of Technology, which they are expected to complete between 2021 and 2024. In addition to their formal education, Bill has also obtained several certifications. In April 2020, they earned certifications in "CCN-132 Motion Control Fundamentals using Kinetix 5700 (CIP) Servo Drives" and "CCN-144A: Studio 5000 Logix Designer Level 4: Kinetix 5700 (CIP) Programming" from Rockwell Automation. Bill also completed the "Advanced Servo Motion Mastery (Servo PLC Programming)" and "Advanced Servo Motion Mastery 1 (Servo PLC Programming)" courses from Udemy in March 2020. Prior to that, in July 2019, they received a "Responsive Web Design Certification (300 hours)" from freeCodeCamp. Lastly, in April 2017, they obtained a "Certified Associate - Mechanical Design (CSWA)" certification from Dassault Systèmes.
