Mikhail Berlyant

SVP Technology, Data Warehousing at Viant Technology Inc.

Mikhail Berlyant has over three decades of work experience in various companies and positions. Mikhail started their career as a Sr. Researcher/Analyst and Section Manager at the Institute of Geotechnical Mechanics, National Academy of Science of Ukraine from 1982 to 1991. Mikhail then worked as a Seasoned Chief Programmer for multiple clients from 1991 to 1997. At Andersen Consulting, they held the role of Senior Analyst, Project Leader from 1997 to 2000. Afterward, they joined Yahoo! as an Engineering Manager from 2000 to 2006. From 2006 to 2009, they worked at MySpace as a Senior Data Architect and later as the Director of Data Mining. Mikhail then moved to Myspace / Specific Media and held several positions including Director of Data Mining & Data Warehouse, Executive Director of Information and Discovery, Sr. Director of Information & Discovery, and VP of Technology - Data Warehousing from 2009 to 2015. Lastly, they joined Viant Inc. in 2006 as the SVP of Technology, Data Warehousing.

Mikhail Berlyant has a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from Dnepropetrovsk State University, Ukraine, which was obtained in 1977. Mikhail pursued further education and completed their Master's degree in Theoretical Mechanics/Computer Science from the same university in 1982. From 1988 to 1991, they attended the Institute of Geotechnical Mechanics, National Academy of Science of Ukraine as a Postgraduate student, specializing in Computer Science.
