Chad Whitely

Chad Whitely has over eight years of experience in software engineering, currently serving as the Platform Owner for the Internal Developer Platform at Viasat since September 2015. In this role, Chad has led the development of functional components to enhance team velocity and has implemented standardization in pipeline processes using GitHub Actions. Previous positions at Viasat include Software Engineering Tech Lead and Software Engineer, where Chad designed service delivery platforms and converted legacy systems for global in-flight WiFi services. Prior to Viasat, Chad served as an Army AH-64 Attack Helicopter Repairer, conducting maintenance inspections, and worked in tech repair and retail sales at Batteries Plus Bulbs. Chad holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from Texas A&M University.
