Teresa Salazar

Teresa Salazar is currently the Talent Development Coordinator at Viasat. Prior to their current position, Teresa was an English Language Teaching Assistant at Comunidad de Madrid from October 2019 to June 2021. There, they prepared and delivered innovative and engaging curriculum to the classroom, lessons, and activities for learner audience while collaborating with Spanish teachers in the classroom and online during COVID-19. Teresa also presented creative solutions to improve learner performance in adapting to the English language. In addition, Teresa monitored and evaluated learner progress and English level from beginning to end of semester by tracking scores into MS Excel and Google Sheet. Lastly, Teresa designed engaging online conversational activities, quizzes, and videos utilizing MS PowerPoint and e-learning authoring tools like Genial.ly to supplement ESL young learner experience online and in class.

From March 2016 to August 2019, Teresa was an adjunct counseling professor at San Diego Mesa College. And from August 2015 to March 2017, they were a part-time counseling professor at Palomar College. Her teaching career began as an intern at Mission Hills High School from August 2014 to May 2015.

Teresa Salazar has a certificate in elearning instructional design from the University of California, Irvine Division of Continuing Education. Teresa also has a Master of Science (M.S.) in School counseling from San Diego State University, and a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Sociology from UC San Diego. Teresa also has a certification from LinkedIn in Technical Writing: Quick Start Guides.
