Paul Harris

Paul Harris is a Principal Wireless Architect in the CTO Office at VIAVI Solutions, focusing on technology strategies for 5G, 6G, and beyond since December 2022. Harris plays a crucial role in external representation for VIAVI in various industry bodies such as 3GPP, ETSI, and the O-RAN Alliance while ensuring alignment with internal R&D and PLM teams. Additionally, Harris holds multiple influential positions, including Vice Chair of the Trials Working Group for the 6G Smart Networks and Services Industry Association, Member of the Test & Validation Council at the Telecom Infra Project, and Expert on Wireless Networking Technologies at UKTIN. Past experience includes serving as a Senior Standards Strategist at Vodafone and leading significant projects at Cohere Technologies and the University of Bristol. Harris earned a Ph.D. in Communications Engineering from the University of Bristol and a BEng (Hons) in Electronic Engineering from the University of Portsmouth.
