Pouyan Motamedi

Pouyan Motamedi is a highly experienced researcher in the field of materials engineering, currently serving as a Senior Research Scientist at VIAVI Solutions since November 2024. Prior to this role, Pouyan worked as a Microfabrication Scientist at Science from September 2023 to September 2024, and as a Fabrication Process Specialist at Avalon Holographics from January 2019 to September 2023. Pouyan's earlier experience includes a position as a Postdoctoral Researcher at the National Research Council Canada from February 2016 to January 2019, and as a Research Assistant at the University of Alberta from September 2009 to February 2016. Additionally, Pouyan has held advisory and analytical roles in nanotechnology and technology analysis at the Research Institute of Petroleum Industry and Advanced Materials Industrial Development Co, respectively. Educational qualifications include a PhD in Materials Engineering from the University of Alberta, an MSc in Materials Science and Engineering from Sharif University of Technology, and a BSc in the same field from the same institution.
